Weight Loss: The Most Efficient Ways To Cut Fat
Almost everybody wishes they were in better shape than they are, and those that actually do something about it have a ridiculous amount of options and methods at their disposal. A million different diet fads, a million different weight training programs, a million different supplements, etc. Where does one even begin? Talking to friends is where people usually start, but everyone has their own opinions based on their own experiences. How many times have you heard someone say, “I read that…” or “I heard that…”; too many to count, probably. How do you know who’s got it right? Well, at Impakt Fitness, we want to be a reliable source of information for you on your journey to optimal health, and the first thing we want you to remember is that everybody’s body is different. There isn’t one magic fitness path that works for everyone. If that were the case, everyone would be doing it the same way. However, there are some universal principles that apply to everyone’s fitness starting line, and almost always the starting line begins with weight loss. Losing weight is the ultimate life resolution as well as the springboard to your body’s full potential. Here are the most efficient ways to cut fat, regardless of what body stage you’re at:
Moderate Exercise with Gradually Increasing Intensity
Don’t over do it. One of the keys to losing weight and keeping it off for good is to not get ahead of yourself. Always push yourself, of course, but don’t kill yourself. Once you feel something becoming easier for you, then step it up a notch, maintaining a challenge at all times. This is also a good way to minimize your chances of experiencing burn out and fitness depression. Motivation and determination will stay with you if you take it one step at a time. Also, remember that you need both weights and aerobics to get the best results; and switch it up often. A range of different aerobic exercises, for example, will continue to make it interesting and as enjoyable as possible.
Be Weary of Diet Fads. They Aren’t Sustainable.
Another key to keeping those pounds off permanently is to adopt a lifestyle that is realistically sustainable. If you take on extreme diet restrictions that you plan on discontinuing once you reach your weight goal, guess what – you’ll be inviting all of those pounds right back into your life in no time, guaranteed. We’re not saying that diet fads don’t work because many of them do with incredible results. The issue, though, is that you need something permanent. You need those pounds to get off and stay off, and the only way you can be sure of that is by forming logical dietary habits that you can continue in perpetuity. Temporary, fat-zapping diets with fast results don’t fix the real problem, which is a careless, unhealthy lifestyle.
Balanced Nutrition
I’m sure you have dozens of people telling you what to eat and what not to eat and how much to eat and when to eat, etc. Let’s break the food question down to it’s simplest form as it pertains to weight loss. First, cut out (gradually) the bad fats and eat more of the good fats. And similarly, take the same to carbohydrates as well. See one of our previous articles for more information about this. Second, drink a lot of water; preferably a gallon a day. This will provide much-needed fuel for your liver to get working on converting and diminishing your fat.
Conclusion
Obviously there is a lot more to be said about weight loss and we’ll likely post more about it in the future, but first and foremost, we like simple at Impakt Fitness because being overwhelmed is unnecessary and harmful to your fitness journey.
